This is the final post of the Marian Virtues Series. You can find the start of the series and the list of articles in the opening post.
Our Lady of The Rosary
It is with great joy that I wish you a Happy Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary! Especially on this feast day, I hope that you will pray the rosary with a great fervor and love for Mary.
This feast day has special meaning for me and my husband. We were married in a Dominican parish called Holy Rosary. On our wedding day, we knelt in front of the statue of Our Lady of the Rosary pictured above and prayed as part of our consecration to her, “Mother, teach us to say “yes” to God and to each other, to give ourselves without reserve as a sacrifice of love.”
Praying the Rosary together has been an important aspect of our prayer life and giving our “yes” to God. That is why I was very excited to celebrate the close of the series on such a beautiful feast day.
Gratitude
I can’t even begin to describe how thankful I am to the bloggers, giveaway contributors, and readers who made this series possible. You all amaze me!
When I first felt the Holy Spirit nudging me to organize this series, I didn’t know who would be involved or if anyone would even want to read it. Each of you emulated Our Lady by giving your “yes” and turned this into something far more beautiful than I could have imagined.
I hope that reading this series has helped you to not only learn about the Ten Marian Virtues but also grow closer to Mama Mary. Let us continue to emulate her love for Jesus through our daily actions and share Christ’s love with others.
What Readers Have to Say
As a way of celebrating this feast day there is a final Grand Prize Giveaway below! Also, a closing prayer to end the series. But before we get to those I wanted to share thoughts from readers about the series:
“I have made this a mini-retreat and have been sharing with my family. I’m a mother of 7 children- trying to save souls. The Blessed Mother is such a strong part of our faith journey. ‘Fiat’ is our family motto! My prayer is that the Blessed Mother touches and moves hearts through this series.” – Tara L.
“The 10 Virtues of Mary series has been a wonderful addition to my weekly faith formation. I have enjoyed sharing my new knowledge and love of Our Lady with my friends and family. The topic of mortification came up (typical Catholic conversation!) and questions over the merit of it were asked. I had just read the post on Mary’s Universal Mortification and was able to share about the virtue and lead others to the article. God’s timing, for sure! All of the contributors are unique and definitely, have a heart for sharing in the mission of St. Maximilian Kolbe: To win the whole world for Christ through the Immaculata, Mother of God and of the Church.” – Pamela N.

“I am loving the Marian virtues series! We focused on them in household (a faith-based community at Franciscan University) for a couple of semesters but now it’s cool to have something to help cultivate them in this new phase of life. Constant mental prayer is a lot different in the working world than it was at Franciscan!” – Regina P.
“The Marian Virtue Series served a catapult for my sister and I to consecrate her and my daughter (still in the womb) to Jesus through and with Our Lady. We pray for the holiness of our babies daily, but to meditate on Mary’s virtues, helped us to hone in on what it means to truly magnify the Lord. Of course, we as mothers and models for our daughters were also moved by this series to imitate these virtues and draw ever closer to the Lord too!” – Mary J.
